There are oils out ...
There are oils out there that are reduced in fat carbs transfat. Just have to look for them. I have tried a couple substitutes suggested by other ppl, it actually changed the taste of the chocolate, and one of the substitues I tried actually began to break down the chocolate. Try different things in a melting pot with a lil oil or whatever you wish to try and see the chemical reaction, if it works and still taste good, and edible for everyone, go ahead Trial and Error. drench, or soak unit, or you will mess it up. Rinse cloth, wipe unit down several times. Some ppl use mild, very mild soap on the plastic parts. Because it is plastic, not recommended. I have 3 untils and all state not to use soap. Your call, if you decide to, please rinse parts in very warm water. Using Hot or Cold water will change form of the plastic. A friend of mine rinsed the tube for me and I had a very hard time geting it on, it wouldnt fit.. hot/cold 1 after the other, will crack it

One more thing, read directions carefully. And DO NOT place the unit in Soapy Water! When you are done with the unit, use a rubber spread to clean off remains of chocolate on the mound parts, where the chocolate over flows, do not waste the chocolate, place remaining in a chocolate melter, unless you have a microwave, then put it in a container, refrigerate, until you are ready to use again. Take out those parts you can remove and wipe with a very clean smooth cloth with hot water. do not

I use the fountains constantly for parties. I would suggest and double check to make certain that all pieces are in place properly. Secondly, if you do not have enough chocolate in your Fountain, it will not pump correctly and seems to be going on slow motion. Make certain you put in some oil with the chocolate because of the heating mechanism, you don't want the choc. to burn, nor the unit to over burn. If you haven't, U must melt the choc first before putting it into the fountain.
