Hello ...

Hello there.Thankyou for your comment.I used regular chips for cooking - and mixed with them with oil,for melting. But if you use 62% Cacao or higher % - like 'Belgian Chocolate' - it will melt without adding oil.Good luck.Have fun!

Nice movie! Can I use this to send to a swedish site. If it is the first clip on that product, I can get a gift voucher.

No,Cad's doesn't ...

No,Cad's doesn't have enough cocoa content - it is the milk and sigar that makes Dairy Milk taste so good!At best, you might use Bournville, but you;d probably need to still add vegetable oil to get in just runny enough.Don't waste normal Cadbury's - see if you can find choc chips or morsels that are made for fondues. My machine is just over a foot high, and about 8 inches across.Small table-top model.

The bulk of it ...

The bulk of it cleans right off,but only if you scoop it all out with paper towels.the residue takes a while to get off, because it is oil-based. It doesn't really have the same consistency as bar choc, but because of the oil you can even freeze it and it STILL comes out soft - I have to chopped up in blocks. The texture is more like truffle,if not the actual flavour.(It's best to use Belgian choc, with at least 62% cocoa,so you'll get a different flavour anyway - I think Cadbury's is about 35%)

What a wonderful occasion to choose for the big debut! That sounds like a fabulous plan that worked perfectly.Congrats - and thankyou very much for sharing your techniques too!

We debuted the ...

We debuted the chocolate fountain during the Super Bowl game! I bought candy molds from the craft store. With the motor Off, but the heater still On, I removed the fountain tiers & augar. Then my friend & I used teaspoons to scoop & pour the choc. into the molds. We put the candy mold trays in the fridge & the choc. set in about 10 minutes! I put the choc. in baggies for my guests to take home :) I used Ghirardelli chocolate, which only needed 1Tbsp of oil per 2.5lbs (about 40oz) - YUM!
